Can one residential community be such a BIG ripple maker that it has the power to help change the face of multi-family living in Houston and beyond? We think so.

By following the steps outlined in this website we will recast the village-based model of living and make it an integral part of our apartment community to the benefit of our residents, owners and neighbors alike. Shaving off operating costs by reducing our carbon footprint and dependence on non-renewable resources is a fundamental part of this mission. Once our plan is completed, we aim for other apartment owners to take notice. We want others to look at Southchase and see a model for a winning combo that could be the foundation for sustainable future communities and lead residents in low-to-middle income housing toward healthier and more productive lives.

Our journey at Southchase began 5 years ago. We have gone through all kinds of adversity and kept going. Hurricane Ike and the subsequent repairs nearly did us in. The eocnomic downturn was a blow to our occupancy and income. Poor onsite management as we tried to manage from afar didn't help either. But none of the above or any other setbacks and challenges has deterred us from moving forward towards our vision that we have for Southchase.

We are looking for ways to partner up with sponsors who want to have their companies associated with the revitalized community that we are becoming. We are also applying for grants to help make our plans happen. We are exploring all avenues to help us get where we want to go.

We are determined to make it happen and we will continue to work tirelessly to get there. We can see it! We hope to help others catch our vision too so they can join and benefit as they become part of the new Southchase Community.
